A form limited to Portland and surrounding eastern Parishes.

One of the largest Mexican Helicinids.

  • GRADING:  Fresh dead taken, but in excellent condition
  • DESCRIPTION:Shell sculpture of fine incised spiral lines.
  • DATA:  Very good
  • NOTES:  This is the northern-most locality for the species. At least one authority on the Mexican molluscan fauna believes this may not be H. sowerbyana. The size and sculpture of spiral lines are characteristic of H. sowerbyana.
