    The West Indies specimens were incorrectly referred to as C. obscura, which is a Western Pacific species.

    • NOTES:  Malacolog 4.0.1 (on-line Western Atlantic gastropod database) cites the description date as 1854 - Mörch, O. A. L. 1854. Fortegnelse over Prof. R. af D. C. F. L. Hencks efterladte Conchyliesamling. [ii] + 34 pp. Kjo/benhavn. Epidromus testaceus = Colubraria testacea (Mörch, 1854).
