Ficus carolae Clench, 1945 - Florida, 90-105mm; separated from F. communis by the differences in the micro surface sculpture; taken in trawler nets. Ficus investigatoris E.A. Smith, 1906 - Somalia, 95mm - A deepwater Indian Ocean species. Trawlers working off the Somalian coast brought up a number of specimens in the early 1990's. It is rarely seen in recent years.
